I agree to a point. I had a neihbor that had problem dogs. They would come on our property and mess things up. They would run deer until the deer could run no more and kill it. We would tell this guy all the time and he would do nothing to fix the problem. Well I fixed it myself. I caught them running a deer so I shot and killed the lead dog. Now the other dog doesnt leave the neighbors yard.

I dont like "loose" animals either...cats especially... but I go to their owners or call animal control.
I dont use them for target practice. BTW... there ARE laws against that, even if the dog is running loose.

Nothing to be scared of. I just dislike the nonchalant attitude that so many people have about their pets. If you do not have the means to maintain 100% control, then don't have a pet.

So animal torture is all good if the dog isn't in the owner's yard?

So many people shoot dogs just for fun and games. I dont care why the dog is loose or how long it has been loose - animal torture/abuse is wrong.

If it was ok to shoot loose animals running around my neighbor kids would be long gone.. somebody would have taken care of them the same way others "take care of" loose dogs.

Shooting isn't torture. But if you're going to shoot it, make sure you do it right.

as a human you may consider that torture.
using an animal as target practice is morally wrong and illegal.
